ABC has renewed the Scrubs revival for a second season—its 11th overall—two weeks after the first nine-episode run concluded. An episode count for season 2 remains undisclosed.
The renewal, announced April 30, comes after the revival's strong reception, including an A grade from TVLine readers. The first season reunited Zach Braff as J.D. (now chief of medicine), Donald Faison as Turk, Sarah Chalke as Elliot Reid, and others including recurring roles for Judy Reyes, John C. McGinley, and Robert Maschio. Guest stars in the April 15 finale included Neil Flynn as The Janitor and Christa Miller as Jordan.
This pickup joins ABC's other renewals for 2026-27: 9-1-1 (season 10), Abbott Elementary (season 6), and Grey's Anatomy (season 23). The Scott Speedman-led R.J. Decker awaits renewal after ending April 28.
