This move comes after Washe, born August 25, 2001, notched 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points in 13 games with the Ducks during the 2025-26 season. His highlights included his first NHL goal and point on January 16 at Los Angeles, as well as his first career assist on February 3 against Seattle.
Washe made his NHL debut on April 15, 2025, at Minnesota, following the signing of a one-year entry-level contract after completing his collegiate career. In the 2024-25 season, he appeared in two games with Anaheim. Prior to his recall on January 7, 2026, Washe had excelled with San Diego, leading the team with 13 goals and co-leading in points with 25 (13-12) over 30 AHL games. He ranked fourth on the Gulls in assists and plus/minus rating at +7.
On August 4, 2025, Anaheim signed Washe to a two-year contract extension. As an AHL rookie, he tied for second in goals and third in points league-wide. His performance earned him a spot in the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic, scheduled for February 10-11 in Rockford, Illinois.
A native of Clarkston, Michigan, the 6-foot-3, 212-pound forward captained Western Michigan University of the NCHC to its first national championship in the 2024-25 season, contributing two assists in the title game. Over five NCAA seasons from 2020-25, Washe amassed 74 points (28 goals, 46 assists) with a +19 rating and 125 penalty minutes in a program-record 171 games.
