The Partido de Resina bullfight during the Feria de San Isidro left an empty spectacle at Las Ventas on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, where only the mastery of Antonio Ferrera stood out among listless and heavy bulls.
The six bulls from Partido de Resina, including two five-year-olds, were generally listless and heavy. They showed little fight or the typical beauty of the breed, burying the afternoon in lethargy.
Antonio Ferrera, in scarlet and gold, handled the afternoon with technical precision and earned a detached sword thrust on the fourth bull, receiving divided applause. He delivered masterful left-handed passes against a tame animal.
Calita and Jesús Enrique Colombo, both in mauve and gold, failed to connect with their opponents. Calita killed the fifth with effort and Colombo required descabellos on the sixth after a difficult tercio.
The ring was nearly three-quarters full. Ferrera was the only one to receive ovations for his work in an otherwise uninspired afternoon.
