Ashghal wins ministries and authorities padel championship

The Public Works Authority team, known as Ashghal, secured the title in the Ministries and Authorities Padel Championship after defeating the Civil Aviation Authority in the final. The event, organized by the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau with support from the Qatar Sports For All Federation, featured intense matches at Al Sadd stadiums. The Ministries and Authorities Padel Championship concluded with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) team emerging as champions. Held at Al Sadd stadiums, the tournament brought together teams from various government bodies for a series of competitive padel matches. Organized by the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau in cooperation with the Qatar Sports For All Federation, the event emphasized physical activity and inter-agency interaction.

In the final showdown, Ashghal faced off against the Civil Aviation Authority team. The match was a closely contested affair, with Ashghal prevailing 6-3 in the first set, 7-6 in the second, and 10-6 in the decisive third set. This win capped a tournament filled with strong performances and fierce rivalries, showcasing the participants' skills and dedication.

Abdulla Saad Al Saad, Manager of the Public Relations & Communications Department at Ashghal, commented on the event's significance. "The tournament was a successful and fruitful experience that contributed to enhancing rapport and communication between employees of various government entities and institutions," he said. He advocated for more such initiatives beyond padel, noting their positive effects on the work environment and team spirit.

The championship not only promoted padel—a racket sport gaining popularity in Qatar—but also reinforced bonds among public sector workers through shared athletic endeavors.
