The BATN Foundation awarded equity-free grants of N1.5 million each to 17 graduate agripreneurs on 9 June 2026 following competitive pitches at three Nigerian universities.
The 2026 Graduate Agripreneur Programme covered the University of Ilorin, the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta and the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike. Seventeen winners each received N1.5 million, for a total disbursement of N25.5 million. General Manager Oludare Odusanya said young people remain critical to the future of agriculture in Nigeria. He added that the foundation continues to create platforms that support innovation and sustainable solutions among youths. The programme has empowered over 60 graduates and disbursed more than N90 million since it began. Winners were selected on criteria including originality, financial feasibility and market potential.
