A BBC commentator mixed up Pharrell and A$AP Rocky during the World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium. Guy Mowbray identified the wrong celebrity while calling the match between Spain and Argentina.
The flub occurred about 15 minutes into Sunday's game when cameras showed Pharrell in the stands. Mowbray said, "I think that is AKA Rocky," then corrected himself to "Or A$AP Rocky, sorry."
Pharrell wore a backward cap and shades and appeared unaware of the error. A$AP Rocky sat nearby with Rihanna, while Future and Jalen Brunson were also in the suite.
Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in extra time to win the championship. Other celebrities at the match included President Trump, Tom Cruise, Mick Jagger, Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet and the Beckham family.
