After more than a year of closure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad welcomed crowds back to Frontierland with a smoother track, refreshed lighting, and the new Rainbow Caverns finale featuring a large golden nugget. The first-day experience highlighted strong guest interest, with posted wait times reaching 145 minutes. The updates continue the ride’s integration with the upcoming Piston Peak area while preserving its classic mining-town theme.
