BJP national general secretary Radha Mohan Das Agarwal stated on Saturday that possibilities remain open for re-inducting suspended leaders ahead of the 2028 Karnataka Assembly elections.
Speaking at a press conference in Mangaluru, Agarwal said decisions on re-inducting leaders such as K.S. Eshwarappa and Basanagouda Patil Yatnal rest with the central leadership. He noted that the state committee would consider their conduct during suspension, their “iccha shakthi” and the reasons for their suspension.
Agarwal added that any change in the Karnataka unit president would also be decided by the central leadership. The remarks came during a training session for BJP workers where several local MLAs and MPs were present.
Separately, Agarwal highlighted India’s economic growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing a 7.7% GDP growth rate for FY 2025-26 and central disbursements of ₹4,01,717 crore to Karnataka since 2014.
