Former President Gabriel Boric attended the launch of his ex-minister Mario Marcel’s book at the University of Chile on Thursday, where he reunited with several former collaborators from his administration.
Boric appeared at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Chile for the presentation of the book “La montaña rusa. Crónica de una crisis y cómo se superó”. Dressed in a light blue shirt and dark green jacket, the former president looked relaxed as he shared with former secretaries of state such as Carolina Tohá, Giorgio Boccardo, Antonia Orellana, Jessica López and Juan Carlos Muñoz.
Also participating in the event were former undersecretary Claudia Sanhueza, former chief of staff Matías Meza Lopehandía and former chief advisor Felipe Melo. The launch was moderated by dean José de Gregorio, with comments from Andrés Velasco and Alejandra Mustakis.
Marcel’s successor at the Treasury, Nicolás Grau, did not attend. This appearance comes days after Boric publicly criticized the embargoes on CAE debtors by the government of José Antonio Kast.
