Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper has left open the possibility of competing in the 2026 T-Mobile Home Run Derby at Citizens Bank Park on July 13, provided he earns a spot on the National League All-Star team.
Harper, who won the event in 2018 while with the Washington Nationals, said he remains undecided.
“I'm still not sure,” Harper said. “I want to be healthy, obviously. I want to play every game in the first half. I haven’t done that for a long time. So, we’ll see.”
The slugger is batting .274 with 20 home runs, 57 RBIs and a .906 OPS this season. He is set to learn his All-Star status on Saturday.
Harper noted that his father has not thrown batting practice in some time and that he would prefer not to participate without him.
