Cadillac F1 team reveals special livery for Miami Grand Prix

The Cadillac Formula 1 team has unveiled a special livery for this weekend's Miami Grand Prix, marking its first race on home soil. The design incorporates the stars and stripes of the United States flag, with 'USA' on the rear wing in red, white and blue. Chief brand advisor Cassidy Towriss described it as a deliberate nod to the team's roots.

Cadillac is entering its debut Formula 1 world championship season, with its highest finish so far being 13th by Valtteri Bottas in China. The team's car, named MAC-26 in tribute to American motorsport icon Mario Andretti, normally features a black-and-white livery unveiled during a $20 million Super Bowl advertisement earlier this year. For the Miami event, Cadillac opted for a patriotic twist to celebrate the occasion as its maiden home grand prix. “The Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s special Miami Grand Prix livery is a natural extension and speaks without excess. It's deliberate and confident,” Towriss said. “This is our first home race, and it mattered to us that fans still recognize what they've come to know. I can’t wait for the crowd to see it on track for the first time. There's no place like home.” Historically, the best result by an American car at the Miami Grand Prix has been Kevin Magnussen's 10th place for Haas in 2023, after qualifying fourth.
