Striker Jonathan David produced a hat-trick as Canada defeated nine-man Qatar 6-0. The co-hosts took the lead through Cyle Larin before David scored twice before half-time.
Qatar were reduced to 10 men when Homam El Amin was sent off. Ismaël Koné suffered a serious injury and was carried off, leading to Assim Madibo also receiving a red card.
Nathan Saliba scored from a free-kick and an own goal by Mohammad Al Manai made it 5-0. David completed his treble in stoppage time to reach 42 international goals.
Canada now have four points from two games in Group B. Alphonso Davies remained on the bench with a hamstring injury.
