Cebuanos dominate topnotchers list in march 2026 teachers board exams

Sixty-six graduates from Cebu schools placed among the topnotchers in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers, according to results released by the Professional Regulation Commission on May 12.

The examination took place on March 15, 2026, at testing centers nationwide. The PRC released the results 39 working days later, showing that 51 Cebuano topnotchers ranked in the elementary level and 15 in the secondary level.

Jhade Vine Icot, Marc Andre Saberon, and Lynn Heart Luad from Cebu Technological University tied for first place in the elementary level with a rating of 95 percent. Other Cebuano examinees secured positions from third to tenth place with ratings between 94.40 and 92.80 percent.

In the secondary level, Ramil Gabrino Gaurano Jr. from the University of the Visayas and Michelle Temblor Sialana from Cebu Technological University both ranked third with 94.60 percent. Nationwide, 18,376 elementary teachers and 45,001 secondary teachers passed the exam.
