Argentina's Central Bank acquired 328 million dollars on Wednesday, the largest purchase of the month so far. Gross international reserves reached 46.583 billion dollars.
The monetary authority, led by Santiago Bausili, purchased 328 million dollars on May 20. The operation accounted for nearly 70 percent of the 482 million dollars traded in the market that day.
Gross international reserves rose 393 million dollars from the previous session and stood at 46.583 billion dollars. This figure approaches the current administration's peak, recorded in February at 46.905 billion dollars.
Since the start of the year the Central Bank has accumulated purchases of 8.706 billion dollars over 91 sessions. So far in May the total reaches 1.551 billion dollars.
