Chaka Khan will be presented with the Vanguard Award at the second annual Black Women in Music Dinner on June 12. The event will also honor Kelly Rowland, Fatima Robinson and others while raising funds for breast cancer care. It is scheduled for the Audrey Irmas Pavilion in Los Angeles.
Chaka Khan, who recently received a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy, is set to receive the Vanguard Award at the upcoming dinner. The event celebrates Black women in the music industry and serves as a fundraiser for breast cancer prevention and care. Zainab Johnson will host the gathering in its second year.
