Charli XCX performed several songs from her upcoming album Music, Fashion, Film for the first time during a show in Brooklyn on July 10.
The singer took the stage at the Music Hall of Williamsburg for an intimate concert. She opened with live debuts of “Playboy Bunny,” “SS26,” and “Camera.”
Guests joined her for select tracks. Underscores performed “Music,” Kim Petras sang “Jeep,” and Clairo delivered “Sofia.” Charli XCX also played “Apple” and the unreleased “Take Away the Music,” closing with “Wink Wink” and “Rock Music.”
The album is due July 24. Charli XCX addressed genre expectations in a recent interview, saying she has never thought about it in a binary way and does not know what the genre is.
She has additional dates scheduled, including a July 14 show in London and a headlining slot at Lollapalooza on July 31.
