Guillaume Broche, creative director of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has placed Kingdom Hearts II among his top five games of all time. He highlighted its exceptional gameplay during a recent interview.
Broche made the comments on the French YouTube series Jeux Vidéo Club. He described the 2005 title as truly exceptional and noted its depth, saying players could spend 150 hours with it.
The director stated that Kingdom Hearts III did not fully recapture the gameplay elements that made the earlier entry stand out. He recommended the game to fans of action RPGs with strong systems.
Broche advised starting with the first Kingdom Hearts title and Chain of Memories before jumping into the sequel due to the series' interconnected stories.
