On Sunday, April 5—the last day of Holy Week vacations for many—heavy to very heavy rains with electrical discharges will hit Hidalgo, Puebla, and Veracruz. Very heavy punctual rains are forecast for Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Tabasco, with strong scattered showers in Chihuahua, Durango, Coahuila, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Michoacán, Estado de México, Tlaxcala, and Campeche.
Maximum temperatures of 30 to 35 degrees Celsius are expected in Aguascalientes, Estado de México, Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo. The frontal system will move toward the Gulf of Mexico and linger until Tuesday, April 7, bringing rains to southern states.
