Corrosion of Conformity to release double album in April

American heavy metal band Corrosion of Conformity will release their double album Good God / Baad Man on April 3, 2026, via Nuclear Blast. The project follows the death of drummer Reed Mullin in 2020 and bassist Mike Dean's departure, with new members joining Pepper Keenan and Woody Weatherman. The band has also announced a North American tour starting in April.

Corrosion of Conformity, formed in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1982, built a legacy through albums like Eye For An Eye (1984), Animosity (1985), Blind (1991), and Deliverance (1994). Their 2018 release, No Cross No Crown, featured the lineup of Pepper Keenan on vocals and guitar, Woody Weatherman on guitar, Reed Mullin on drums, and Mike Dean on bass.

In January 2020, Mullin passed away, marking a significant loss for the band. Dean later left amicably amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Keenan and Weatherman then wrote extensively in Mississippi, drawing from influences including Discharge, ZZ Top, Motörhead, Neil Young, and Black Sabbath. This resulted in enough material for a double album. "As we went on, we had such a crazy plethora of songs, it was almost like two different directions," Keenan said. "We knew we had to split it into two different albums."

Good God focuses on heavier, more aggressive tracks, while Baad Man emphasizes rock-oriented songs. The band recruited drummer Stanton Moore, who appeared on their 2005 album In The Arms Of God, and bassist Bobby Landgraf, known from Down and Honky. "With a lot of these songs, we’re trying to make Reed Mullin proud," Keenan noted. "He was a badass, and a one-of-a-kind drummer. And the stakes were high."

The lead single, "Gimme Some Moore," includes backing vocals from Ministry's Al Jourgensen and guitarist Monte Pittman. Its hook is "Struggle is worth the fight/Leather, chains and spikes." Keenan explained, "Me and Woody wanted to write a song as if we were 17 years old again." The video was directed by Keenan and filmed by Mike Holderbeast.

Produced by Warren Riker and featuring cover art by Scott Guion, the album was recorded at Blak Shak Studios in Riffissippi, USA, Dockside Studios in Maurice, Louisiana, and Barry Gibb's home studio in Miami, Florida. Tracklisting for Good God includes "Good God? / Final Dawn," "You Or Me," "Gimme Some Moore," "The Handler," "Bedouin’s Hand," and "Run For Your Life." Baad Man features "Baad Man," "Lose Yourself," "Mandra Sonos," "Asleep On The Killing Floor," "Handcuff County," "Swallowing The Anchor," "Brickman," and "Forever Amplified."

To support the release, Corrosion of Conformity embarks on a North American tour from April 7 in Atlanta, Georgia, to May 16 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Support acts include Whores, Crobot, Clutch, and JD Pinkus on select dates. The current lineup is Keenan on guitar and vocals, Weatherman on guitar, Moore on drums, and Landgraf on bass.
