Netflix will release a 10-episode sequel to the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners this fall. The new show follows a fresh group of characters in Night City.
Studio Trigger is producing the sequel, which carries a darker tone than the original. The story centers on a character named Weak and draws from information shared at the Annecy animation festival.
The series was announced last year at Anime Expo. A full trailer is scheduled to arrive this week.
CD Projekt Red has begun work on Cyberpunk 2, though no release date has been set. The original Edgerunners series aired in 2022.
