David ‘N’ arrested as presumed ‘La Chokiza’ leader at AICM

David ‘N’, known as ‘El Deivid’, was arrested on Friday, May 22, at Mexico City International Airport as he attempted to board a flight.

Officers from the Fiscalía General de Justicia del Estado de México, supported by the Secretaría de Marina and the Mexico City Fiscalía, carried out the arrest. State authorities are investigating him for extortion, homicide, robbery with violence and despojo in municipalities including Ecatepec.

David ‘N’ is believed to have taken leadership of ‘La Chokiza’ after the September 2025 arrest of Alejandro Gilmare ‘N’, alias ‘El Choko’. ‘El Choko’ remains held at the El Altiplano prison since then.

The group operates in several municipalities in the eastern and northeastern Valle de México. Authorities are still assessing the impact of both arrests on the organization.
