Chilean club Deportes Concepción has officially announced the signing of Argentine defender Fausto Grillo, bringing their total reinforcements to 13 ahead of their return to the Primera División. On Sunday, the León de Collao announced the signing of Argentine defender Fausto Grillo, who previously played for O'Higgins in the 2022 season.

The 32-year-old Grillo arrives from Atlético Tucumán with extensive experience. He has played for Vélez Sarsfield, Belgrano, O'Higgins, and Universidad Católica de Ecuador, and has stints in European leagues in Spain, Greece, Italy, and Turkey. The club stated that the player will join the group once he passes the required medical exams.

With this addition, Deportes Concepción reaches 13 confirmed signings. Notable among them are Matías Cavalleri, returning from Brazil; Ignacio Mesías, formerly of Unión La Calera; Cristián Suárez, from Palestino; Leonardo Valencia, a standout at Audax Italiano; and Brazilian goalkeeper César Dutra, with a past at Flamengo. Other names include Misael Dávila, Ethan Espinoza, Javier Rojas, Aldrix Jara, Norman Rodríguez, and Mauricio Vera.

The team also retains several players under contract, such as Joaquín Larrivey, Sebastián Martínez, and Brayan Valdivia. Regarding departures, Nicolás Astete and Diego Zambrano joined Deportes Temuco, while Carlos Morales and Josué Ovalle returned to Deportes Limache. Other exits include Claudio Fernández and Fabián Núñez.

This move underscores the Penquista club's commitment to building a competitive team in the top tier of Chilean football.
