The Devil Wears Prada franchise has grossed more than $1 billion worldwide. The sequel reached this milestone in its seventh week of release.
The sequel has earned $676 million globally, including $217.9 million from the domestic market. It was produced for $100 million before prints and advertising costs.
The original 2006 film ended its run with $326.5 million worldwide. The sequel opened to $233 million globally and $76.7 million domestically, both franchise records.
Within its first nine days in the United States, the sequel exceeded the original film's lifetime domestic total of $124.7 million. Disney released the film instead of a Marvel title for the summer start.
