Elected vice president José Manuel Restrepo met with AmCham president María Claudia Lacouture to analyze the tariff situation between Colombia and the United States.
During the meeting, the main bottlenecks facing Colombian exporters were reviewed, along with topics of investment and employment.
Restrepo stated on his X account that economic growth is built hand in hand with the private sector. The purpose was to advance a joint agenda to strengthen investment, employment and confidence.
The elected vice president noted that overcoming tariff barriers will be a priority. "We believe in joint work between the government and the private sector. When we build solutions in a coordinated manner, the country's competitiveness wins and Colombians win," he said.
