Swedish defenseman Erik Gustafsson has signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Kings worth one million dollars. The 34-year-old will remain in North America for the upcoming season.
Los Angeles Kings announced the signing on Wednesday. Gustafsson joins the club after spending most of last season in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins, where he recorded 37 points in 39 games.
He also appeared in two NHL games for the Detroit Red Wings. The Nynäshamn native has extensive NHL experience across 458 regular-season games with eight different teams.
Those clubs include the Chicago Blackhawks, Calgary Flames, Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings.
