Singer-songwriter Evan Honer has unveiled his second single of the year, "Everything I Wanted," marking a shift toward pop-rock sounds. The track serves as the lead for his upcoming third album. He also shared extensive US tour dates running from February through August 2025.
Evan Honer's 2024 proved fruitful, featuring the release of his sophomore album Fighting For, two EPs, and a cover of Tyler Childers' "Jersey Giant" that has amassed over 250 million streams across platforms. Building on this momentum, Honer launched his new single "Everything I Wanted" on his Cloverdale Records label. Unlike his typical sparse Americana style, the song delivers a pop-rock vibe with explosive energy, driven by electric guitar riffs and a melody that builds to a cathartic finish.
Honer described the track's significance in a statement: “This is the first of the songs that we recorded for my third album, and it’s so awesome to finally have a studio version of the song we have been playing live for so long. Having this be the first song of the album roll out hints that there is gonna be a change in sound and I am very excited to be evolving into something new for me. I hope people enjoy it as much as I enjoy playing it live!”
The release coincides with the announcement of a nationwide tour kicking off on February 23, 2025, at Revolution Music Room in Little Rock, Arkansas. Stops include major venues like The Fillmore in San Francisco, Thalia Hall in Chicago, and 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., extending through early August at Hinterland Music Festival in Saint Charles, Iowa. Highlights encompass festival appearances at Extra Innings in Tempe, High Water in North Charleston, and a support slot with Flatland Cavalry at Ting Pavilion in Charlottesville.
This tour follows Honer's pattern of connecting with fans through live performances, showcasing his evolving artistry amid growing acclaim.
