Actress Fernanda Torres has begun filming the feature film Os Corretores in Rio de Janeiro, a project she wrote and stars in. Directed by Andrucha Waddington, the movie features a star-studded cast including Bruno Mazzeo and Irene Ravache. The production is a partnership between Conspiração, Globo Filmes, and Sony Pictures.
Filming for Os Corretores began on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Rio de Janeiro, following a script reading held the day before. Fernanda Torres, who writes and plays the lead role, shared behind-the-scenes photos on her Instagram on October 25, showing herself alongside Bruno Mazzeo during the reading and name tags for the cast, including Milhem Cortaz, Irene Ravache, Fulvio Stefanini, Camila Márdila, George Sauma, Jaffar Bambirra, and Katiuscia Canoro.
Directed by Andrucha Waddington, Torres's husband and an Oscar nominee for Ainda Estou Aqui, the film revolves around real estate agents. This year, Torres became the first Brazilian actress to win the Golden Globe for best actress in a drama for Ainda Estou Aqui, directed by Walter Salles, which also took the first Oscar for best international feature for Brazil.
The production is handled by Conspiração in partnership with Globo Filmes and Sony Pictures, who recently collaborated on Vitória, starring Fernanda Montenegro, Torres's mother. Waddington directed his latest film, Vitória, in March 2025, and in 2019 helmed O Juízo, written by Torres and also featuring Montenegro. Shooting will take place at various locations in the city over the coming weeks, but no release date has been announced.
Conspiração is known for hits like Sob Pressão and DOM, with ten International Emmy nominations. Globo Filmes, with 25 years of history, co-produced titles such as Tropa de Elite 2 and Bacurau. Sony Pictures has a track record in partnerships like O Auto da Compadecida.
