FIFA appointed Yael Falcón Pérez as central referee for the Mexico versus Chequia match scheduled for June 24 at Estadio Ciudad de México.
The match is part of the third round of Group A at the 2026 World Cup. Mexico arrives with six points and already qualified for the round of 16.
Falcón Pérez, born in Buenos Aires on May 4, 1988, will officiate his second game of the tournament. He previously handled Sweden’s 5-1 win over Tunisia.
The referee team includes assistants Maximiliano Del Yesso and Facundo Rodríguez, both from Argentina. The game will be broadcast on Canal 5, Azteca 7 and ViX Premium at 19:00 central Mexico time.
The referee has handled 281 matches in his career, issuing 1,455 yellow cards and 39 red cards.
