Fifa starts phase 3 of 2026 world cup ticket sales on december 11

Fifa has launched the third phase of ticket sales for the 2026 world cup through a random draw, allowing fans to request tickets for specific matches starting december 11. This stage runs until january 13 and sets purchase limits per household. Winners will be notified by email and charged in february.

The FIFA world cup 2026 moves forward in preparations with the launch of phase 3 ticket sales, called 'random draw'. This stage begins on december 11 at 10:00 a.m. central mexico time and ends on january 13 at the same time, available only through FIFA.com/tickets.

In previous phases, the first was restricted to Visa cardholders, while the second expanded access to other banks via a similar draw. So far, FIFA has sold nearly 2 million tickets for the tournament, to be held in the united states, canada, and mexico.

To join this phase, fans must register and submit requests specifying desired matches, seat categories, and number of tickets per game, once group stage matchups are set. FIFA states that 'fans can send requests for specific matches', with a limit of 4 tickets per household, regardless of accounts used, and up to 40 tickets total for the 104 matches.

After submission, participants will get an email confirmation on full or partial approval of their request. In february, payments will be automatically processed on registered cards. If approval is partial, 'the fan will receive the requested tickets for one match, but not for all encounters included in their request', as the organization explains.

Registration is required again, even for those who entered prior stages without success, using the same FIFA ID. For those who miss out on this draw, phase 4 will operate on a first-come, first-served basis near the tournament start, with details yet to be announced.
