France dominated Sweden 3-0 on Tuesday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford during the 2026 World Cup round of 16. Kylian Mbappé scored twice and Michael Olise provided two assists.
The French scored all three goals after the cooling break. Mbappé opened the scoring at 45+1 from an Olise pass and doubled the lead at the 74th minute. Bradley Barcola scored the second goal at the 53rd minute.
Michael Olise shone with technical skills, including an acrobatic overhead kick that hit the post in the 36th minute. He also delivered an assist to Barcola.
France will face Paraguay in the round of 16 on Saturday in Philadelphia. Mbappé now has 18 World Cup goals.
