On May 23, French and English content creators will replay the iconic Crunch rivalry at Bordeaux's Stade Atlantique. Former international rugby players will join them. They trained recently at Stade Toulousain under the guidance of sport legends.
French and English influencers are gearing up for an unusual rugby match, the Crunch Creator, scheduled for May 23 at Bordeaux's Stade Atlantique. This report by Hugues Maillot, special correspondent in Toulouse, details their preparations.
On April 15, about 20 men aged 20 to 30 discovered Stade Ernest Wallon, home of Stade Toulousain. The eclectic group features content creators focused on rugby such as Nogodi and RugbyEvo, running with Clemquicourt, weightlifting via Brutus le Robuste, or motorsports by Étienne Moustache. Others without direct sports ties embrace its values, including comedian Tom Baldetti, Ivan Bédé, Ton pote Gillian, and rising MMA star Paul Dena.
On the esplanade, Toulouse ambassadors Bigflo and Oli greeted them. “You didn’t call me to play on the team?”, Bigflo asked, pretending to be offended. “It would cost too much in insurance,” Oli replied, amused.
Ahead of the event, participants trained at Stade Toulousain under former rugby legends. The bold initiative aims to revive the France-England rivalry for one match.
