The 2026 Georgia Travel Guide serves as a comprehensive planner for visitors anticipating the global influx from the FIFA World Cup 2026, with matches hosted at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Governor Kemp emphasized Georgia's readiness, stating, “Georgia is excited to welcome a historic number of visitors from around the world this year as we host the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and celebrate America’s 250th birthday.” He added that the guide offers a glimpse into the state's people and places, encouraging travelers to explore whether as a destination or en route.
The guide's four-tab cover showcases key sites: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Plains Train Depot, Fort Frederica National Monument, and Cloudland at McLemore Resort. Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson highlighted the opportunity, saying, “With the global spotlight on Georgia in 2026, this moment gives us a unique opportunity to bring visitors from nearby and around the globe into cities and towns across Georgia and invite them to ‘Make Yourself at Home.’” She noted that every visit supports local hospitality and communities.
