According to Circles Robinson, the site's editor, the process began with 350 photographs submitted by 52 participants. After the initial elimination, 152 images from 35 photographers remained in the categories of Portraits, Bridges, Markets, Nature, and Documentary.
In the final round, 18 photographers are competing with 59 photos: seven in Portraits, nine in Bridges, nine in Markets, seven in Nature, and nine sets of three photos in Documentary. The jury, made up of ten members residing in four countries—most of whom have participated in the previous 13 contests—will assign points to determine the rankings: 10 for first place, 5 for second, 3 for third, and 1 for fourth. Winners in each category will receive a prize of US $100, along with special mentions.
