Vehicles with green stickers and plates ending in 1 or 2 will not circulate on Thursday July 2 in Mexico City and municipalities in the State of Mexico.
The Hoy No Circula restriction is in effect from 5:00 to 22:00 hours. Its goal is to reduce air pollution in the Mexico City metropolitan area.
Vehicles with verification hologram 1 and 2, as well as foreign vehicles with these features, are prohibited from circulating. Only vehicles with hologram 00 and 0 are exempt.
The measure applies in the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and 18 municipalities in Edomex, including Atizapán de Zaragoza, Ecatepec, Naucalpan de Juárez and Tlalnepantla de Baz.
The weekly calendar assigns Thursdays to green stickers with endings 1 and 2. There are no restrictions on Sundays unless an environmental contingency is declared.
