Ice Nine Kills have released their new single Play Dead as an official anthem for the online horror game Dead by Daylight. The track, which dropped on June 26, features a music video starring skating legend Tony Hawk along with actors Devon Sawa and Krsy Fox.
The band collaborated closely with the game’s longtime composer Michel F. April and its creative team. In a statement, vocalist Spencer Charnas described the song as a mix of hooks, horror and chaos that extends the game’s universe.
Charnas also noted that Tony Hawk’s involvement felt essential due to his ties to music, gaming and subculture. The release coincides with Dead by Daylight’s 10th anniversary celebrations earlier this month.
Ice Nine Kills performed at Download Festival this month and are scheduled to tour in early 2027, including a headline show at London’s O2 Arena on March 28.
