India posted 170 for 5 after Smriti Mandhana made 68 off 44 balls and Harmanpreet Kaur scored 36. Richa Ghosh then hit 34 off 17 balls to push the total higher.
Pakistan replied with 106, as Muneeba Ali top-scored with 41. Deepti Sharma’s five for 10 restricted the opposition after an opening stand of 38.
The win gave India a strong start in their group that also includes Australia and South Africa.
