Jack Douglas, the producer behind major albums by John Lennon, Aerosmith and others, died on Monday at age 80 from complications of lymphoma. His family confirmed the news, noting he passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Douglas worked on landmark records including Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic and Lennon and Yoko Ono's Double Fantasy. He also collaborated with artists such as Cheap Trick, Patti Smith, the Who and Lou Reed over a career spanning decades.
