Jane Street claimed the North American Corporate Chess League title on May 28 after defeating JPMorgan Chase in the final. The quantitative trading firm topped the regular season standings and advanced through the playoffs with three victories.
Jane Street secured the win in the eight-team knockout stage. They beat Meta 3-2 in the opening round behind victories from Matias Shundi, NM Christopher Yang and FM David Peng. The team followed with a 5-0 sweep of PwC. In the final against JPMorgan Chase they drew three games and took decisive wins from Max Vaysburd and Christopher Yang to finish ahead 3-2. The North American Corporate Chess League is the largest corporate chess competition in the world and will return for a 14th season.
