Juventus sack manager Igor Tudor after eight-game winless run

Juventus have dismissed head coach Igor Tudor following an eight-match winless streak across all competitions. The Croatian, who took over in March, leaves after securing Champions League qualification but overseeing a 394-minute goal drought. Massimo Brambilla will temporarily lead the team for their next Serie A fixture against Udinese.

Juventus announced the sacking of Igor Tudor on October 27, 2025, in a brief 93-word statement, citing his professionalism but ending his seven-month tenure. Tudor, Juventus' first foreign head coach since Didier Deschamps in 2006, replaced Thiago Motta in March and guided the club to Champions League qualification. However, the team has struggled recently, failing to win in eight games and enduring 394 minutes without scoring.

The poor form began after a 3-2 victory over Inter Milan on September 13, followed by draws against Borussia Dortmund, Hellas Verona, Atalanta, Villarreal, and AC Milan. Recent defeats to Como, Real Madrid, and Lazio compounded the issues, leaving Juventus in a precarious position in Serie A.

In their official statement, Juventus said: "Juventus Football Club announces that it has today relieved Igor Tudor of his duties as head coach of the Men's First Team, along with his staff consisting of Ivan Javorcic, Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci. The Club also announces that it has temporarily entrusted the Men's First Team to Massimo Brambilla, who will be on the bench for the Juventus-Udinese match on Wednesday evening. The Club thanks Igor Tudor and his entire staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months and wishes them all the best for their future careers."

Reports indicate Juventus have initiated discussions with potential replacements, including Luciano Spalletti, who recently left the Italy national team after winning Serie A with Napoli in 2023. Roberto Mancini, a former Italy Euros winner and Manchester City Premier League champion, is considered a plan B. Chelsea's Enzo Maresca, a former Juventus midfielder, is also on their radar as a future option, though no negotiations have occurred.
