Following its two Oscar nominations, the animated hit K-Pop Demon Hunters returns to Mexican cinemas via Cinemex on February 5, screening in multiple cities as pre-Oscar buzz builds.
K-Pop Demon Hunters, Netflix's record-breaking animated film nominated for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song 'Golden' at the 2026 Oscars (see prior coverage), re-enters Mexican theaters on February 5 ahead of the March 15 ceremony at the Dolby Theatre.
Originally a June 2025 Netflix release blending K-pop stardom with demon-hunting (plot details in earlier reports), the film drew over 500 million views and chart-topping success.
Cinemex's Cartelera de Oro program will screen it in 2D in cities including Mexico City, Mexico State, Jalisco, Chihuahua, Guanajuato, Puebla, Querétaro, and Yucatán. Tickets are 118 pesos for adults, 106 pesos for minors/seniors, plus an 8-peso online fee. Through February 11, Cinemex Manía morning showtimes offer tickets for 29 pesos. The film remains streamable on Netflix.
