Karyn Kusama to direct first two episodes of Amazon's Life is Strange TV series

Following the casting of leads Maisy Stella as Chloe Price and Tatum Grace Hopkins as Max Caulfield, director Karyn Kusama has been tapped to helm the first two episodes of Amazon's Life is Strange TV adaptation.

Emmy-nominated director Karyn Kusama (Yellowjackets, The Man in the High Castle, Dead Ringers, The Consultant, Jennifer's Body) will direct the opening episodes of the Prime Video series adapting Dontnod's 2015 game. The show reunites childhood friends Max—a photography student with time-rewinding powers—and Chloe as they investigate a disappearance, uncovering their town's secrets and facing a pivotal choice.

The production is led by showrunner Charlie Covell (The End of the F***ing World), with executive producers from Story Kitchen. This update comes shortly after the March 3 casting reveal and ahead of Life is Strange: Reunion (the Max/Chloe game finale) launching March 26 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
