President José Antonio Kast arrived Thursday at Cerro Castillo palace in Viña del Mar to finalize details of his first public account, scheduled for June 1 at the National Congress.
The president will stay at the site until Monday focused on preparing the address. On Sunday he will hold an edition of the Presidente Presente initiative in Villa Alemana, aiming for the largest turnout to date.
Kast held a meeting with new Security Minister Martín Arrau, who took office last week replacing Trinidad Steinert. The government seeks with these events to launch a new political stage after the installation period.
After the public account, ministers will begin a deployment to reinforce the presidential announcements. The plan also includes tours of Cerro Castillo on Sunday for Heritage Day.
