Örebro had to do without five players, which affected their performance. Coach Niklas Eriksson admitted after the game: 'Maybe we were a bit tired,' but added: 'I never think it should be an excuse.' Örebro was never really close to a comeback and lost the bottom clash, despite a chance to pull away following HV71's loss to Frölunda earlier that day.
Örebro's effort was described as below all normal criticism. Despite recently firing coach Tobias Thermell, the team has not improved but rather taken steps backward. Leksand, the league's worst team in points, showed better fight and claimed three points in the relegation battle.
