Patent AI company Lightbringer has raised over 90 million kronor in a Series A round led by 6 Degrees Capital and Newion.
The round is led by London-based 6 Degrees Capital and Amsterdam-based Newion. The capital will be used to establish the company in the US. CEO Dominic Davies is moving there but the headquarters remain in Malmö.
Davies says patents are internationally standardized via the PCT system. He highlights the team's competence from Ericsson in Skåne as a strength. Lightbringer offers an AI service that creates patent applications and manages patents for tech companies.
The company was founded by Davies, Markus Andersson and Ola Wassvik. The first funding round raised 8.5 million kronor two years ago. An additional share issue in 2024 added about 50 million kronor.
