Women's World Champion Liv Morgan experienced a minor injury scare during a WWE live event in Birmingham on Sunday. The incident occurred in a match against Sol Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, and IYO SKY ahead of Night of Champions.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ruca attempted a springboard cross body but landed on Morgan's left foot after the champion was out of position. Morgan limped after rolling out of the ring but assured the referee she was unharmed and completed the match.
Morgan celebrated the victory and appeared able to bear weight on her leg. She later appeared on WWE Raw the following day and competed in another live event match on Wednesday.
The non-serious nature of the injury was confirmed by her continued participation. Morgan and IYO SKY are scheduled to face off at Night of Champions in the Queen of the Ring finals, which airs live in the first hour on ESPN.
