Luís Eulálio de Bueno Vidigal Filho, former president of FIESP, died on Monday (29) at age 87 from complications of kidney failure.
Born on March 26, 1939, Luís Eulálio earned a law degree from USP in 1963 and completed postgraduate studies at the University of Illinois. He led FIESP and CIESP from 1980 to 1986 during the transition from military rule and held positions at CNI and CMN.
FIESP described him as one of the most determined leaders in Brazilian industry. The entity's headquarters building on Paulista Avenue is named in his honor. Paulo Skaf, FIESP president, conveyed condolences to family and friends.
The wake will take place on Tuesday (30) at Parque Morumbi cemetery. Groups including ABIPEÇAS and SINDIPEÇAS also mourned his passing, noting his role in advancing local industry.
