Sharabutdin Magomedov dismissed the prospect of a fight with Sean Strickland, calling the middleweight champion a domestic titleholder unwilling to compete outside the United States.
Magomedov spoke to Red Corner MMA after defeating Michel Pereira. He said Strickland would require extra security if he traveled to Abu Dhabi.
The comments came after Magomedov secured the victory. He described Strickland as focused only on bouts inside the U.S.
No date was set for any potential matchup between the two fighters.
