A 46-year-old man has been sentenced by Örebro District Court to five years in prison for gross economic crimes linked to restaurant operations in Falun.
The man was convicted of 18 counts of gross accounting fraud and 26 counts of gross tax fraud. According to the ruling he controlled several restaurant companies behind the scenes even though others were formally listed as responsible.
The case involves ten companies in central Sweden and five additional people who were also sentenced. The crimes are linked to the former O’Learys restaurant in Falun.
The verdict comes from Örebro District Court and is reported by local outlets including Dala-Demokraten.
