Canada announced its 26-player squad for the 2026 World Cup, which includes midfielder Marcelo Flores of Tigres.
The Canadian Soccer Association confirmed the squad on May 29, 2026, under head coach Jesse Marsch. Flores, born in Georgetown, Ontario, joins a group that also features Alphonso Davies, Jonathan David and Cyle Larin.
Flores made his Canada debut on March 28, 2026, in a friendly against Iceland. He had previously played three matches for the senior Mexico team between 2021 and 2022, totaling 46 minutes.
Canada will compete in Group B alongside Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland and Qatar. The team will play its group-stage matches as a co-host of the tournament.
