The Toronto Marlies and Chicago Wolves meet tonight in Game 1 of the 2026 Calder Cup Finals at Allstate Arena. Both teams advanced through four playoff rounds to reach the best-of-seven series. The Marlies, affiliates of the Toronto Maple Leafs, face the Wolves, top development affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Marlies reached the finals after defeating the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in overtime of Game 6 last Sunday. Captain Logan Shaw tied Game 5 against the Cleveland Monsters with 4:30 left in regulation, and Easton Cowan scored the winner with 11.3 seconds remaining.
The Wolves advanced by rallying from a 3-2 series deficit against the Colorado Eagles. Goaltender Amir Miftakhov made 36 saves in Game 6 and 39 in Game 7 to secure the Western Conference title.
Game 1 starts at 8 p.m. ET and will be televised on Sportsnet 360 in Canada and NHL Network in the United States. The series marks the third finals appearance for the Marlies since their 2018 championship and the Wolves' fourth title opportunity.
